Lal Kothi
The sharp slopes on site extend down to the river Zuari in the south and are flanked by lush tropical greens on its east and west with the approach road on its north. The plot itself though was largely barren other than a large, frail-looking mango tree that occupied the center. The result was a breathtakingly satisfying composition: off a merrily flowing river at the far end, enjoyed through an ideal arrangement of palm grooves, under which wooden canoes regularly get pulled up by hardworking fishermen while your eyes wander over the age-old fishing village among the periodic tintinnabulations of the village temple.
The very first ideas emerged when the visibly unhealthy-looking mango tree located right in the middle of the plot miraculously revived itself, as though finding a new purpose in life. This was certainly a good omen, which immediately brought the tree among the central ideas for the house.
The house is organized on two levels. The upper level has the living, dining, and kitchen and is accessible from the road level, while private quarters are on the lower level. Exposed laterite retaining wall is used to raise the side setback to the living room level to create accessible landscaped gardens on upper levels, this gives an illusion of the structure being single.

Frame House
“Like an artistic embrace, free-standing frames delicately encase the essence of a home, blurring the boundaries between construction and the tranquil canvas of nature.”
The elegance, grandeur, and serenity of earlier Greek and Roman architecture are unparalleled even today. The timelessness that the scale and material palettes produce, not to forget the intricately carved cornices and arches standing in harmony with the organized gardens and meadows. A contemporary approach that is influenced by this style, commended by the client, gave way to this magnificent creation. Laid down on a sloping site, the driveway leads to a splendid view of the scale and order created by the collonades serenading the user to transition into a previous timeline. The towering columns create a portico that has the utmost functional usage even in Kerala’s tropical climate, to deal with climate. The landscape almost embraces the rigidity of the structure and blends it into a subtle composition of white and green. Just like M V Rohe said, “god is in the details”, the intricate work on cornices can be noticed even at first glance and would gain appreciation even from an onlooker, to the sheer craftmanship portrayed. The spaces are blended with the landscape to behave as a single unit with distinguished properties.

Focal Projections
The house portrays a seamless connection; there is no limit between home and garden - a feeling of freedom. Strategically positioned openings, considering the seasonal shift of wind, ensures cross ventilation throughout the year.
Every feature within this design has a part to play in delivering the playful and calming energy that one is sure to be engrossed in while living in this home. Contrary to the traditional aesthetics of residential design within the Kerala context, what sets the residence apart from the rest is its quintessential representation of the modernist style of design. The built form portrays a seamless connection, creating a flow between the indoor and outdoor spaces.
This building was meant to carry out an emotional attachment to the history of the client, from where he began his journey.
The village and the nature involvement was the biggest goal of this construction. To achieve this dream, we utilized the existing foundation of nature and created a harbor of the portal as in the home surrounding the trees.

Goan getaway
The villa is located in the quaint beautiful village of Aldona. Surrounded by refreshing green farmlands, we decided to build a simple villa from where one can enjoy the serenity of the site.
The design is simple & the villa becomes a place of solace with views of paddy fields from the
balconies. To tap into the site's full potential, the orientation of the villa is East-West with a water body in the northeast and bedrooms on the southwest corner to allow a cool breeze into the space.
The most salient feature of the villa is the view and the balconies which are positioned in a manner that allows a surreal view throughout.

Field of View
It's always a dream for all the NRIs who settled in the GCC to build a home back in their native, with all the possible nostalgic elements. The brief from the client was very simple and demanded a house with Kerala traditional look and feel, exploring the beauty of the paddy field abutting the plot. The identified plot had two side road access and one side paddy field view.
Thus the initial lines of the design were drawn in such a way that the building faces both the axis and caters to the best view of the paddy field. The building is on its way to completing the civil structure and we tried to use a maximum of locally available materials to keep it sustainable.

Red Wrap
Unlike the traditional aesthetics of residences commonly seen within the Kerala context, what sets the Nazeeb residence apart from the rest is that this building is a quintessential representation of the post-modernist design style. Right from the entrance, this home exudes an array of experiences, making sure that the beauty of the building on the outside is carried forward toward the inside. The landscaping elements are a combination of both existing vegetation on the site, as well as subtle additions that perfectly complement the built form. The playful interplay of massing within a varied scale aims to convey a sense of discovery with each step forward. The contrast between its tropical green surroundings and the ruggedness of the grey stone pavement, provide the perfect backdrop for this intriguing building. The visual feasibility of a garage space has been closely considered here, which stands within the backdrop of a lush green landscape which is the perfect setting that encloses yet another visual experience. The dynamic arrangement of the hardscape pavements and the strategic placement of the garage are all a part of this design approach. Characterized by simple masses and a contrasting color scheme, the view of the residence has been curated in such a way that offers privacy and openness simultaneously. This is achieved through tall bamboo trees and perforated openings with stones placed vertically at the road-facing side of the site. This space has explored all aspects of comfortable usability, yet not compromising on the diverse experiences a building can offer. Every space is a visual frame on its own, that reveals itself as the architecture unfolds.

Traditional Steps
A vacation home that exuberates with the essence of Tropical architecture and a site that reverberates the soul of the design could be how this masterpiece could be described. Overhanging wooden decks that produce breathtaking views are a prime element in the design of this marvel that stands amidst the vast agricultural field. Another element that the client wanted was a stepwell that had views on looking from the deck above. The water body is overlooking and is directly in front of the entrance, also the private area in the site. Having a bit of contoured level difference on the site, the design occupies levels to place the basement and the rest of the functions above it. A design approach that keeps the design simple and light contribute to the steel frames that hold the tiled roofs grounded. The overall decoration is kept minimal, with prime importance on the views and recreational zones inside the property.

Desert Archway
Dubai opens up technological advancement and a home to grow with the business. Our client based in Kerala had their establishments rooted in Dubai and decided to upgrade their residence in Dubai after completing their Kerala home with us.
Over the discussions, we came out with a plan that speaks the Arabic architectural language, which is having stories of hundreds of years. Frames and walls were used to make the spaces open and blend. Choosing a material palate of desert sand and wood with an addition of steel makes things simpler for us to work with the flow.
The design comprises six bedrooms and common spaces that connect and serve the ease of living. The project is still in the designing phase under the ownership of DACglobal.

Beach house Calicut
The classic character of the existing residence is well preserved and its beauty is personified through the addition of elements that follow its character. The colonial features of the residence are a work of art on its own that stands as a centerpiece to the whole master plan.
The overall composition of the form is a concrete insert into a green and brown character made in laterite, providing a multitude of spaces, varying in ambiance and function.
The residence stands tall, swayed to its side, as a reflection of the site’s conditions, and looking out towards the expansive views of the beach.

Crete- Margao
The idea for the coining of the term ‘crete’ arrived from the word ‘concrete’. As the name suggests this building has a concrete luxury home setup. The client had the wish to introduce a European contemporary style to the whole system. The home setup was individualized with totally automated technology which increased the extravagant lifestyle.
The plan designs were to discover the ultimate comfort and accommodation received from the creation. A classy delicate finish was provided to the interiors.
The slope created was divided in the form of easy accessibility to the ground floor and a direct entrance towards the basement area. The concept design was segregated into 3 zones including a live-in block, a Relax block, and a residential block. The plan offers plenty of space and extra detailed styling.

Screen wall
This building was indented to cater to two bank manager quarters in the same building. The shorter side faces the road, we came up with a screen wall to cover the same and a linear way of arranging the house making it duplex in nature. The material palette chosen remained simple and easily available to make it budget-friendly.

Hilltop Mark
The hidden house is a unique and intriguing residence that reveals itself slowly and gradually to those who interact with it. Just like a book, which may appear unassuming at first glance but can transport a reader to new worlds, the hidden house conceals its true nature until it is explored more closely.
The hidden house is situated on a beautiful natural site, surrounded by lush greenery and a tranquil water body. This picturesque setting not only provides stunning views but also helps to create a microclimate that is pleasant and comfortable. The water body plays a key role in the placement of the built structure and the functions inside it. Levels of steps adorn the site that leads to the water body, an adjoining structure, and different access points of the residence.
Inside, the hidden house is open and airy, with raw and exposed surfaces that give it a raw and unfinished feel. Despite this, there are also touches of craftsmanship and attention to detail that add a sense of refinement and elegance to the space. Natural color palettes and materials are used to blend the inside of the house with the outside landscape, creating a seamless connection between the two.

Rustic Box
When we start a design that for hold for a decade, will need some design corrections to match with the current trends in architecture. This project was one of those where we tried to retouch the design, without causing many changes to the existing build mass before we could take up the interiors. Rustic Corten steel finish was introduced in the façade to make it contradictory to the rest of the structure. Interiors were also treated as a continuation to the exterior material palate, creating neat straight lines of contemporary architectural style.

Pastel Palette
The design of the apartment towers incorporates several elements that create a unique and interesting architectural language. The use of frames and grids adds a contemporary touch to the overall design, with the vibrant colors and white creating a modern and sophisticated aesthetic. At the same time, the towers are situated above a locality that is grounded by trees and houses, creating a sense of order in the natural surroundings and the scale of architectural housing.
The frames and grids not only add visual interest and variation to the design, but they also serve as a sort of "curator" for the views offered by the site. The freedom in the sizes of the openings within the frames allows for a dynamic and constantly changing view, while the changing shadows cast by the frames create patterns that add depth and movement to the design throughout the day.

Green Box of Bhavnagar
When the plot is limited and the Client shows interest to keep the building with a green cover, it's an opportunity for an architect to play with the translucent way of treating the façade. Client, a business person who loves partying and looking for some verity to portrait in the building chooses a squarish plot for his dream home. Needs of parking and site constraints that didn't allow us to think of the basement made us opt for a stilted structure. We choose to design an introverted home with large plants growing inside to cater garden courtyard effect and the love for plants from the client backed our design.

+ pLUS retirement home
A retirement home for a dean, well within the campus will always be a dream project for any architect like us. A small villa that cures the life inside with nature, that's the call we made on to the given brief from the client. The submitted proposal came out with a plus symbol at the planar level. The water tank that caters to the entire campus had been a challenge and an opportunity at the same time. Conceptually we thought of having two walls and the rest of the structure remaining translucent which permits the visual connectivity with the valley and the necessary privacy from the campus.
