School around TREES
Schools are more connected emotionally than other needs. When the project was taken as a competition, the HM of the school briefed us from their perspective of being a student and becoming an HM for the same school. A school designed in the late 1960s had undergone many additions and substractions of buildings during the past 50+ years and the management had thought of making the available buildings to strengthen architecturally and structurally for smooth functioning.
In the proposal, we tried to keep the trees of the campus intact and use the existing footprint to create smooth functioning. In the process, we made the necessary corrections in movement and the building structure at a master plan level. In this Competition, we tried to address the masterplan corrections, designing of the new block, and the facelift work for the existing buildings.

art campus
A vision was created when ULCC, an organization that has influenced lives all across the Malabar coast decided to create an Educational institution, following the values of humanity and social causes propagated by its founder, Vaghbatananda. Gifted with luscious landscape, and aimed to embrace what nature has to offer, a masterpiece followed. Carefully placed atop a hill mound that linearly spreads itself, the design stamps itself on the terrain, adapting to its jaggedness by forming spaces functionally, embracing the natural contours. The design deftly synchronizes the flow of the spaces and volumes that opens up, towers over, and sweeps across depending on the function that it accommodates. Shades of alluring green, through plants, trees, and green covers run all along with the design, blending with the natural browns and raw concrete greys. The design masterfully crafts spaces to create an order and hierarchy in terms of mass and placements. While the large volumes, vertically placed, provide space to accommodate the multitude of programs offered by the college, the voids are planted ideally to balance the human body’s need to break out from the walls and look up at the sky above, as a sort of breathing space. The built mass creates frames and grids, that add a contemporary touch to the architectural language while maintaining the vernacular aspects through locally sourced materials. The frames, in a way, also curate the panoramic view the site has to offer through freedom in the sizes of openings and dynamic shadows that create patterns throughout the day. The green cover adds that element of new life at every glance across the site.

Girl's educational paradise
A unique part of India that is associated with the best living traditions in craft, cuisine, houseboats, shikaras, rushing mountain streams, and snow–clad mountains, Srinagar is a garden of paradise. Considering the traditional values, we proposed an upgradation to the existing girl's school. Schools are supposed to be a part of society and they shall accommodate the public on their off times.
This proposal holds three elements - segregation of vehicular movement, space to gather, and a watchtower to showcase the richness. Considering the place's political issues, we arrived at an introverted form of design where every activity revolves around the central axis. It's always challenging to make a governmental school set as an example of practice; this is how we tried to resolve it.

Highrange School
A vintage look and feel in terms of spatial design, style, and volumetric feel of spaces complemented by the sheer scale and material usage adds to the functional and aesthetic beauty of the Government model higher secondary school. MKNM HSS Kumaramangalam was established in 1952 when a great visionary Malayattil Ramachandran Nair started an Upper Primary School in Memory of his uncle and a social reformer Malayattil Kesavan Nair, It is located in Thodupuzha block of Idukki district of Kerala. The school consisted of Grades from 5 to 12 which was further upgraded to a High School in 1966. In the year 2000 the School again was recognized by the Kerala State Government and got upgraded again to a Higher Secondary School. The 5 blocks of the school are situated around the oldest block, constructed in the 1960’s. A walk through the school premise is a time loop on its own. While the block on the west was constructed in the 1980s the block opposite to the new proposed block was built in 2000. The Government school, having been the host for student festivals, has kept arts alive through the spaces and walls that have enjoyed them far too many times to perform an encore Adaptive usage of the already present heritage structure was the prime focus as the language of architecture blends art and society. As deep as the muthassimavu (Mango tree) plunges its roots through the decades, some blocks of the school have their foundations driven into the earth for almost the same time, ageing only through new branches for the tree and cracks for the structures.

ISA - Idukki School of Architecture
There would be no better place to envision an architectural study, other than Idukki, which is one of the greenest districts of Kerala. It’s a nature-rich area that opens up the designer’s mentality to its fullest. Practical pattern of study or rather a free-flow design study was an idea behind the development of this establishment.
An eco-friendly concept where nature can be encapsulated within the mental frame to cherish even the smallest detail to its maximum. Taking into account, the simplicity of what nature has to offer encourages the true value of any work of art. Exploring different perspectives and thinking of nature in motion was the focus of providing education in real life. Beautiful design reminds to adapt the essence of nature, and its reality curves better, when a glimpse of
nature is right in front of you.

Neo Hospital

blood bank
Running through veins and arteries, at a pace dictated by the human system, blood runs throughout our bodies, enabling organisms to function, This design is inspired by the importance of this fluid, and how it could save people's lives when put into a function such as a blood bank. The pattern created on the brick jaali is a combination of colors and abstract patterns formed when blood is diffused. Used as a striking element of design for the whole of the maternity hospital, the blood bank façade walls stand out. Patterned brick jaails are not just elegant aesthetic features, but also a climatically responsive approach to the climate of the site. The Jaali produces an air channel that cools the interior spaces while also providing privacy to the insides. Exposed concrete and pitched clay tile roofs are other elements that contribute to the overall design of the space.
